I have been looking through my pictures and I found one of my first swaps. It was with the Milliande group http://milliande.ning.com/ and the swap was for Prayer Flags. I had no idea what a Prayer Flag was, but did that matter. No, not at all! I signes up and so began a wonderful adventure.
I am not too sure what my swap partners felt when they received my offerings, but I can honestly say I was totally blown away by what I received. I received beautiful, handmade with love ART!!!
Ans the journey has continued with swaps worldwide for ATCs, Post Cards, I had a go at a Christmas swap and have been supported and blessed by the good will of folks all over.
The last is a gift I made for a friend who was off to the hospital for a journey into the unknown, from which he happily survived.

Starting Off.
Today is a new step on my path to becoming an all round modern woman. I am a blogger!! Not sure who will read this drivel but it sounded like a fun thing to do.
I began messing with "Art" as in paints, mixed media etc about 2 years ago. Have no great thought of being an artist, just wanted to play. I was helped along by my talented daughter, introduced to Internet groups where I could learn techniques and join in swaps. Of course I became quite hooked but always knew my skills were lacking. I didn't even know how to use the materials properly.....but I had fun.
I have been fortunate because I have found the Art community where I have dipped my toe, to be kind and very supportive. I can see that I have improved and that is good and I thought by having this blog there would be some kind of record of my growth.
I dabble in other arts as well. I cook moderately well, I knit, I read and I try to enjoy life.
I will be back another time to add some pictures of my artistic adventures.
